Details on "Dandelions on the Road"

Mamarazzi comes out in a week and a half! I can't believe the time is so close and I hope you'll enjoy that book. Since I'll be gearing up for that blog tour and focusing on that book for a while, I wanted to take this quick opportunity to tell you just a little bit more about "Dandelions on the Road," which will come out November 5th.

There are a number of things that I'm doing differently this time around, with "Dandelions on the Road." First, I'm putting it out myself. My last three books had publishers behind them so many friends/family have asked why I'm doing it myself this time. Let me address that...

Through my last few experiences with the publishing industry, I have learned a ton and I am very grateful for the opportunities I've had. I also do not plan on necessarily going the self-published route for the long term. Honestly, I just wanted to try it out for this book and perhaps another after that. Then, I will likely continue with the published route.

When it comes to publishing, I have felt like I had to give up a lot of control. In many ways, this was a good thing. I had someone else in charge of editing. Someone else doing the cover. Someone taking care of formatting etc. But it was hard for me to hand it all over at the same time. I wanted to try my hand at handling it myself.

When a publisher is involved, I also do not have as much say in the promotion of the book in many ways. As in I cannot always say when I want it on sale and so on. At the same time, I have to do most of the promotional work to get the book out there myself.

Since I have learned so much about the industry and how to create a book and get it out there, I wanted to give self-publishing a go this time around. As an author, I'm continually fine tuning my craft and trying to find new ways to do things and reach people.

"Dandelions on the Road" is book two in the Dandelion Series. I actually have a third book roughly written as well entitled "After the Final Dandelion." Not to give anything away, but it involves a wedding. :) Once I have this series out, I plan to start a new series and quite possibly go back to publishing with a publisher. These books can be read as stand alones, but you will recognize characters from book to book and hopefully you will enjoy them all.

As a multi-tasker, it is hard for me to stop going in a million different directions at once and just focus. But that is what I'm about to do. Mamarazzi comes out September 11th with the release party on the 15th. (Join that party HERE). So I am going to shut off the "Dandelions on the Road" portion of my brain and concentrate on Mamarazzi for several weeks. Then, once that release is complete, watch out world, there are more dandelions to be picked and they aren't going away until they take over the whole yard!

As I turn away from the Dandelion Series for a bit, I'll leave you with a quote from the upcoming release.

Release Announcement

I'm so excited, I just can't hide it any longer! :) I'm corny too, have you noticed?

Anyone remember "Accept this Dandelion"? A show of hands will do. Okay, I see a few of you have read it. Maybe it even made you laugh. You can get the book in paperback, on kindle, or even in audio form now, by the way. Anyway, the characters in that book would NOT leave me alone. One in particular kept coming to me and coming to me. She wanted her own story. NOW. So I wrote it! What can I say, I do what I'm forced to do!
Her name is Eva Merida and she came in third place on "Accept this Dandelion." She wasn't happy about leaving the show or the book without a man. She wanted love too! And so, I created "Dandelions on the Road." Book Two in what I'm now calling The Dandelion Series. This book is Eva's second chance at love. And her first chance at starring in a book of her own!

This book has similar thread to the "Accept this Dandelion" novel. It's also a romantic comedy and has Bachelor-like themes. Only this time, it's a bachelorette at the healm and the show goes on the road!

I'm doing a number of different things with this book and in truth, it's a large experiment for me. I'll go into greater detail about that in another blog. Today, I really just wanted to announce the release date and show you the cover. I won't be doing a large scale cover reveal this time as normal because I don't want to overshadow Mamarazzi.

So now, I give you the cover of the upcoming, "Dandelions on the Road." You can grab the paperback on amazon now (or from me). You can pre-order the kindle copy( just click on the small icon below to get to the pre-order page). The book itself officially comes out November 5th.

A few words about the cover...my husband created it. Isn't it great?! :) Thanks, dear!! I searched for pictures and gave him the ideas and he put it together. No way I could have done it.

More details about the book coming soon. Just wanted to get this brief announcement out there because I'm very excited about it myself!

Exciting Release News Soon!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a major multi-tasker. Why do one thing at a time when I can do three? This is a great ability, but it can also be quite a burden! It seems like when I come up with ideas, I think, gosh, that will be a good idea to tackle...SOMEDAY. But then I dive into it the very next week. I guess I'm impatient! I just can't wait to get these things out!

September will be a very exciting month because Mamarazzi is coming out. (Pre-order HERE).The book releases on the 11th and I have the release party all day on the 15th. Join the party HERE, by the way. :) If you remember, I also released "Accept this Dandelion" in February and then "Wrong Place, Right Time" the December before that. But what good is an author's life without a sleuth of books!

And so, consider this your fair warning. Next week, I'm going to announce my next release date. And it's BEFORE the end of 2015!!! Eek! I honestly thought about waiting till spring, but the book is ready and I just can't wait to have it in your hands. So stay tuned. The fun has only just begun, promise!

Until then, grab Mamarazzi now and it'll go right to your  kindle when it comes out. I have several events lined up this fall so watch for those as well and you can get a signed, paperback copy from me there. Otherwise, let me know if you want one, I'm happy to mail them out anytime!
