Without further delay..."Wrong Place, Right Time" will be released DECEMBER 9th!!
So, here's the full story. I received an email with pertinent dates from my publisher, The Writer's Coffee Shop. The novella was to be released December 18th. I looked at the calendar. That's one day before Christmas celebrations with one side of my family and a week before celebrations with the other. We'll be in and out a lot and there will be family and lots of obligations and so on.
My brow creased. That date worried me. I would have hardly any time to really promote the book as it deserved. I also worried because this is my first release with this publisher...and, I feel, my first REAL release. I assume the employees of The Writer's Coffee Shop get time off around the holidays as well. A week? Two? Not sure! But I was worried that if the book released Dec 18th there might not be people around to help me, answer my questions and so on.
So I asked if that date was firm or if it could be moved at all. They offered me a Feb 2015 release instead. Yikes! That's even worse! I have "Accept this Dandelion" coming out with Prism Books in February 2015. I certainly don't want to double up. So I settled for Dec 18...however, as you can tell from the above date, the conversation was not yet over! I then received another email offering to back the date up to December 9th. I jumped at the chance. I'm thrilled with that date.
December 9th will give me a chance to really promote the book before the holidays hit. I'll still have to be very organized and I'll have to get everything line up so that I can do what needs to be done over naptime, as always. But at least I have a few extra days to get it in before the holiday celebrations hit and things really get crazy.
So, mark your calendars! I'll have more details to come later. I'll do a full cover reveal in a few months and I'll also reveal the book trailer when the time comes. I'm very excited about both and the book as a whole. It's a cute little love story that includes a frantic woman interrupting the WRONG wedding! Oops. It's hard to garner the guts to interrupt a wedding at all, but imagine finding yourself interrupting the WRONG one! Hence the title...Wrong Place. The right time part? Well, you'll have to read the novella to find out! :)
